About Yeny
Yeneisy Pineiro (pronounced Ye-nay-C Pi-neigh-ro) is a Cuban-American graduate of Florida International University with a double major in English and Anthropology and a minor in History. Currently, she teaches history to incredible students in the magical swamp known as Central Florida.
She writes YA that taps into the magic that flows through generations, both literally and figuratively, with quips, ass-kicking, and characters that reflect the young adults of today.
Her influences include: her hometown of Miami, her Cuban heritage, her family's joys and struggles, her son's imaginative thinking, the activists that fight for a better, more inclusive world, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (among other pop-culture classics).
She is represented by Trinica Sampson-Vera from New Leaf Literary Agency.
